Gandalf is my second favorite in my Lord of the Rings Action Figure Collection. Gandalf is a wizard and a associate and later the head of the association known as the Istari, as well as head of the Fellowship of the Ring and the army of the West. In The Lord of the Rings, he is at first identified as Gandalf the Grey, but after assuming headship of the Istari, he becomes identified as Gandalf the White.

Gandalf is the last of the wizards to emerge in Middle-earth and appeared shorter than the others, and older grey-haired and grey-clothed, and leaning on a staff”. Yet the Elf Círdan who met him on entrance all the same considered him “the best spirit and the wisest” and gave him the elven Ring of power named Narya, the Ring of Fire containing a “red” stone, for his help and consolation.

Gandalf lives in various sections of Middle-earth. And he has a lot of names in a lot of countries.. The elves refer to as him Mithrandir, the dwarves – Tharkun, the haradrims – Incanus. It is hobbits and the Rangers of the North who referred to him as Gandalf. He has a bunch of nicknames such as StormCrow, Gandalf Greyhame, White Rider, the Grey Fool and the Grey Wanderer.

He usually brings a staff with him that lights up the way in the dark and aids in casting spellsl. Gandalf is equipped with the elven-sword Glamdring that was created by the elves and at one time belonged to the Duke of Turgon. Gandalf discovered it in 2941 T.A. during his trip to the Lonely Mountain.

Gandalf is a facinating teller of tales and a very smart advisor. Because of this, Elessar asks Gandalf to not travel over the Ocean. The pair of wizard & Aragorn struggles courageously at Minas Tirith and reaches the Black Gates of Mordor. At one point, Sauron’s messenger brings Frodo and Sam’s clothing. The messenger of the Dark Lord gives an ultimatum and shows that the mission of the Fellowship has ultimately been unsuccessful. If it wasn’t for the insight of Gandalf, who thought the messenger was untruthful, the allied army would have lost its competitive spirit and wouldn’t have been the winners.
