This King of the Dead Statue has been hand cast in very heavy polystone and hand painted to the highest standards. The stand has been carved with the map of Middle Earth and in addition has the Lord of the Rings emblem. Also has the sculptor's signature and the hand-written edition number. The statue is about a foot tall. In J. R. R. Tolkien's Middle-earth, the Dead Men of Dunharrow, also called the Dead, were the shades of Men of the White Mountains who were cursed to linger in Middle-earth by Isildur after they deserted their pledge to help him in the War of the Last Alliance. They were previously identified as the Men of the Mountains, and they were interrelated to the Dunlendings. In Iron Crown Enterprises' Middle-earth Role Playing Game, the King of the Dead is named Morthec Gruan, but this moniker is non-canonical.
